◈ __ Theme of Character:__ Extremely powerful 'magic battery' that could be a potential problem if he goes insane, but is luckily more interested in living a peaceful life.

◈ __ General Summary__ Mik'a has the ability to retain a disgusting and scary amount of aether; this only made possible due to generations of selective breeding done by his family line. However while he may have the 'charge' to do some massive and heavily destructive spells he does not have all the training or even knowledge to actually cast them. Instead his family line focused on mastering what they were limited too. This is a mixture of self/soul destructive blood magic, and 'emotional' based casting techniques.Most of Mik'a's offensive spells come from black magic spells enhanced with blood magic techniques. Basic summary is that the man uses his own blood (or life force) to strengthen his spells. This with a mixture of using his emotions (or memories associated with the emotions) to help break down mental barriers and safety precautions, his casting can lead to a rather nasty wombo combo. However his knowledge of spells is limited due to the man losing his teacher at a young age. In result, Mik'a is unfamiliar or new to any spells that do not revolve around blood or the elements of fire and ice.

◈ __ For those that can sense magic/aether:__ Mik'a has the ability to retain a disgusting and scary amount of aether; this only made possible due to generations of selective breeding done by his family lines. For those that can sense aether, feel free to acknowledge this IF AND ONLY IF he's not wearing any rings. If he is wearing rings? His aetherpools/magic will be sensed as very strong, but smothered down into oddly normal ranges. (See 7 Rings below for more info.)◈ __ For those that can see magic/aether/souls:__ In Shadowbridgers aka 5.0 (In this cutscene here) it was confirmed people have a 'color' to their soul! Due to this, and because I actually enjoy people who can 'see' someone's soul, I include the following info!Mik'a's soul shines a bright baby blue (it bordering on nearly white). However, due to past experiences his soul is cracked, branded, and even missing parts of himself. This shows most evident in any 'spirit walking' situation. During these situations, Mik'a appears as a porcelain doll that has been shattered and re-glued back together. These cracks gained from experiences he had in late teens/early twenties, are deep and old. However they can be noted to now be slowly healing the more time goes on. The culprit of this change?? His mate, sister, children, Clan, and the friends he's made in recent years.Mik'a additionally has three 'brands/seals' on his soul currently. Two are located on the heels of his feet (these show to be a few years old; think 2-3 years) and a very fresh circle seal branded on his belly. These brands reek of blood magic and are active. This means whatever they are attached too are actively feeding off him and his aether constantly.Finally, there is a missing part of his soul that is literally represented via a gaping hole in his chest. Despite the wound, this has traces that this missing piece was given up willingly. If one is keen? They might notice the missing piece can be sensed locked away on a ring...that can be found on his Heda's middle finger.Feel free to 'see' Mik'a's soul, it's damages, and use this info ONLY IF YOU SEND ME A TELL AHEAD OF TIME AND I CONSENT.

◈ __ Mik'a's Jewelry__ Mik'a is known for wearing an EXCESSIVE amount of jewelry. From rings, to piercings, to decorative chains, and necklaces- its straight up overkill. This is for three major reasons. The first? Family belief. Certain gems/crystals/stones are believed to welcome certain traits or help ward off others. The second? Simply cosmetic reasons. He likes the shiny stuff. Sue him. The third and final reason? Some of his jewelry actually plays a part in helping with his casting. Thus far the more specialized jewelry pieces are listed below.- 7 Rings: Three rings work in tandem to help hide his aetherpool and give the image that he's in 'normal ranges'. (feel free to squint at things not adding up here for he still shines like a beacon for those that can see aether). Two rings are known as his 'failsafe' rings that catch spells that would otherwise bounce back and kill him. The two rings above are one time usages and are not easily replaced (meaning that yes, my character does have a built in death mechanic if these rings are not replaced). The last two rings are actually casting foci. This means that Mik'a can indeed case without a Staff. Actually he prefers it.
- A 'pearl' earring: This is actually a personal linkpearl disguised as jewelry. His mate is the only one that has the frequency to this pearl.
- A Chain of decorative 'pearls': These are of various colors and are all of the linkpearls he's been given by various people/allies. This chain of pearls moves around according to his attire, but most of the time can be found around his neck like a necklace or wrapped around one of his wrists.

◈ __ Spells:__ Listed below are some of Mik'a's favored spells.- Manaward Shields: Normally used so that Mik'a does not injure himself due to exposure of extreme spells, recently the Keeper has managed to push the envelope with this shield type magic. Inspiration taken from scholars being able to cast their own magics around others, Mik'a worked tirelessly to mimic this effect. While he can not specifically cast a shield around a person, he can make a hexagon like magical shield appear -near- a person to help block incoming attacks or at least negate some of an attack's momentum so that it will do less damage to it's victim.
- Blue Flames: Recently Mik'a's discovered he has the ability to cast 'blue flames'. These flames are rare though for they are extremely dangerous and difficult to control. This is because they are associated with very painful memories that Mik'a would rather forget. More information on this is still in rp development.

◈ __ Other:__ This can include other frequently seen items/info/etc.- Fleimkepa: Also known as Flame Keeper in common tongue, Fleimkepa is a rare family heirloom passed down from Sire to son for over 1,000 years. At first glance, the aged deer skull staff looks to be nothing more than a relic that has been reglued back together over the ages of wear and tear. However, if one knows what they're doing? And touches the staff while Mik'a's hand is not on it to 'silence' it? They'd realize Fleimkepa is actually much much more. A literal key that is tethered back to the floral burial site of his Sire's line, Fleimkepa has the ability to allow it's user to drain aether from the spirits that are trapped in the floral patch hidden deep with-in Clan Widjigo's territory. To limit drawing from the flower patch, Mik'a only carries Fleimkepa with him when he enters a location where he feels threatened/going into serious battle.- Branwoda: Trashy looking, with half molted feathers, this travesty of a Raven is actually the Clan totem spirit of the Yiqi line. Known as Bran for short, no one is sure of this Raven's age, not even the spirit itself for time is not a construct it activity understood and kept track of until recently. However some texts mention Bran and Kernos' first meeting and thusly the Yiqi spirit is assumed to be just as old as the Widjigo spirit or even possibly older. Bran has currently found interest in his current keeper due to the fact he's been the most 'shiny' out of his bloodties. While Bran sits, waiting to collect Mik'a's soul, the bird has found joy in being Widjigo's new messenger raven.

[age 0]
The first and only living child of Mik Nswala is born into the main Nswala Clan. Ras'a Yiqi, the boy's sire, departs the Clan temporarily to try and find a solution for the curse that is rumored to follow males of Yiqi blood. He returns, with no answers two years later.[age 4]
It is discovered Mik'a has a natural talents in magic. Ras'a begins to train the child as he was by his sire. It is at this time Mik'a learns about his bloodlines and how he's expected to not live past his twenty-fifth nameday.[age 5]
The youngest daughter of the High Matron, Nhym Nswala, is born. Upon getting to hold the child, Mik'a swears loyalty to her which displeases the High Matron.

[Age 10]
Ras'a and Mik'a take a trip to the South Shroud. The two are attacked and it is during this event Ras'a is consumed by the family curse. Mik'a returns to the Clan days later clutching his father's staff, worse for wear, and traumatized. Consumed by grief due tot he loss of her bonded, Mik rejects her son for a time. A lifelong friend of friend of both Ras'a and Mik's named Seveli'a (who is also the sire of Nhym) steps forward and helps raise Mik'a while his mother mourns. Mik'a finds most comfort during this time when he is around Koni and Nhym and it's noted he can no longer sleep without one of them in the same area.[Age 11]
Mik re-accepts full responsibility of her son and with the help of Seveli'a manages to stabilize the boy's childhood. With this, Mik'a is able to fully embrace his magic and the death that awaits him.[age 18]
Mik'a is kicked from the main Nswala Clan. He wanders the Shroud for a while before rejoining Clan Nswala under one of their minor branches.

[age 19]
He begins to court the branch Clan Matron, Zicah Nswala. Over the following four years the relationship turns mentally and emotionally abusive. Mik'a finds relief in the yearly visits back to the main Clan where he can see Nhym and Koni again.[age 23]
Zicah and her new mate have 'their' first child. During this time, Mik'a is pushed to near isolation in the Clan which weakens Zicah's hold on the mage.[age 24]
Upon hearing Nhym is to finally become a Matron of her own Nswalan branch clan, Mik'a departs his current branch and returns to join her and Koni. He soon finds himself as the Matron' Stag. It is during this time that the trio are struggling to survive in Thanalan that the Keeper finds he is the happiest he's been in years.

◈ __NOTE:__ Due to the fact years in-game are hard to keep track of, and plots sometimes last months to years, I have decided to update Mik’a Nswala’s background according to in game Patches and simply give his character arcs titles.

◈ Updates: The Final Days has cost everyone something. Family, sanity, and more. It's no surprise Widjigo faced similar injuries. However, surprisingly, the Clan had mostly come out unscathed.However once Widjigo seemed to be granted a moment of peace, the Stag himself faced one of the biggest losses to his life: The passing of his mother.Encouraged by her final words, the man has finally decided to wander for a moon like most traditional males do...to honor her and expand his horizons in magic. With Branwoda on his shoulder, his heart-mate by his side, and his children in his heart? The man takes the first truly selfish steps he's ever taken in his life. Where they lead him? Only Menphina knows; however the general direction of North seems like a good start.

◈ Relationship : Heda - Mate - Childhood Friend

Heda, childhood friend, general pain in the ass, and now mate; Nhym Nswala has been the positive force in Mik'a's life for twenty-two years. Introduced to each other only hours after the woman's birth, Mik'a pledged himself to serve her; an act and vow that he has managed to uphold their entire lives.Recently, the two seem to have finally found steady footing in their romantic relationship despite all the twists and turns their culture and Clan throws at them. This massive step has given them an increased comfort to openly show affection and support towards each other in front of most company. Despite this new territory for the couple, it's still noted that each heavily rely on each other; so much that they both turn into barely functioning messes when apart for more than a few suns.

Nhym has also taken the role of mother to Mik'a's two daughters (Cixi Nswala and Zarabi Kaprei). The pair have also welcomed three children into the world through their own coupling: Nhym'a, Ketki, and Nhym'to Nswala.

◈ Relationship : 'Sister' - Seiso Member

While unrelated, Mik'a views Koni as a sister due to just how long he's known her. They grew up together, played together, got in trouble together, and thus comes as no surprise that a many of his fondest memories include the woman and her shenanigans. The Keeper actually does not even remember a time in his life without the woman; and makes no plans to start.While most view Koni as off, odd, childish, and not particularly all there (all which are true statements in a sense) Mik'a knows how to combat, distract, or even embrace these sides of Koni to get into the deeper more hidden layers of the woman; For buried down beneath these upper layers there is a wiser side to Koni not many see. While it's taken him years to realize this, he now knows to keep an ear perked when this rare side of the woman speaks.All in all, Koni means the world to Mik'a and he trusts her completely not only with his own life, but with the lives of his children, his mate, and the safety/well being of their Clan.

She may or may not also be the culprit behind Mik'a's massive monthly hangovers.

◈ Relationship : Frienemies - Fellow Clan Member

Kalah Kaprei, aka the psychotic witch that Mik'a would rather distance himself from. Despite attempts to keep her at arms length, the woman managed to weave herself deeper into his life than Mik'a ever expected. More accurately described as frienemies that teeter on the edge of Mentor and Student, the two have been known to be rather disrespectfully clashing or threatening to kill each other at seemingly all times.When Kalah's had her daughter, Zarabi, she abandoned the babe with Mik'a's Clan; in belief that the Keeper's Clan would take better care in protecting and raising the girl. During this time, Mik'a somehow naturally became the main guardian figure over the newborn and eventually claimed her as his own despite sharing no blood relation to her.

Eventually though, Mik'a sought out Kalah and brought her back to Widjigo's lands. After a discussion with the Heda, the spotted witch has found herself joining Widjigo's ranks. Soon Kalah's curiosity of her daughter grew and now with the aid and permission of Mik'a and the Heda Nhym, Kalah is slowly being reintroduced back into Zarabi's life.

◈ Relationship : Friend - Clan Ally

Birth Mother: Zicah NswalaMik'a's daughter and Eldest child. Nicknamed 'Firefly' due to her personality, quick movements, and bright wavy red hair, Cixi has slowly become a joy in Mik'a's life despite the circumstances surrounding her conception and birth mother.As the years have passed, the two have mostly healed, and a strong bond between Sire and daughter has slowly blossomed. While there are still times the two need to be parted for the health of bother of them, both always find their way back to each other due to the positive environment and encouragement Koni, Nhym, and Mik all help foster between the two.She can usually be found playing in the Widjigo gardens weaving flower crowns, doting on Zarabi and Nhym'a for she takes her 'Big Sister Responsibilities' rather seriously, or leading the herd of Widjigo's current generation of Fawns with a cunning and commanding charm.

Birth Mother: Nhym NswalaMik'a's first born son. Conceived willingly in attempts to give Widjigo a heir with a woman he considers his heart-mate, Nhym'a is very much a second chance at first chances for Mik'a.Now that most of the dangers with the boy's rough beginnings have passed, Nhym'a's quiet yet charming personality has begun to shine brightly with all he meets; making it very easy to see why the boy gained the nickname of Strik Soncha or Little Light.A curious boy who has already charmed more than enough ladies with one of his smiles or pouts, this toddler has formed a strong bond with his mother due to being her first child. It comes as no surprise then that the lad can frequently be found in Nhym's arms, beaming up at her with favoritism and joy. Even though he is young, he has already begun basic introductions into magics.

Birthdate: October 31st (2021)
Birth Mother: Nhym NswalaMik'a's third child, twin to Nhym'to Nswala, and very much the apple of the Stag's eye; Ketki was conceived willingly by her parents in order to not only give Widjigo an heir, but also out of personal want of another child. The girl just happened to add another layer of surprise for the couple by being a twin.Born with an 'old soul' the girl has shown to have a wisdom beyond her years and it shines brightly in her scarily observant gaze. It's been noted because of these abilities she seems to be adapting quickly to her surroundings.

To the many, it comes as no surprise that her and Mik'a are extremely close, for it was the ginger himself who actually asked his mate for another child. Nhym agreed and even graced the man with the rarity to help choose the Fawn's name alongside her. Meaning flower, this was to be a nod to the original white lilies that tied her parents together.

Birth Mother: Nhym NswalaMik'a's fourth child, second son, and younger twin to Ketki Nswala. Nhym'to is literally already showing to be the psychical form of Mik'a's loyalty, Nhym's adventurous spirit, and both his parents' stubbornness rolled into one.While proving to not be the brightest of the bunch, Nhym'to makes up for this in droves with his sheer bravery (one could at times also call it stupidity) and loyalty.

He's already known to be the biggest momma's boy of the bunch, so no one is ever shocked about the frequency they find him in Nhym's arms. The boy is also known to thus far have the most ravenous appetite out of the Nswalan children.

While the two parents can not remember anything about the week Nohmi was conceived on, they can both agree that no longer will they indulge on the deadly trio of the jug, mushrooms, and Nhym's blends at once in fear another Fawn is made.At first glance, most believe Skadi is not sired by Mik'a due to the dramatic difference in their skin color. However, if one was lucky enough to meet Nhym's family line, they would see that the girl in fact simply took more after her mother's (specifically her Mother's Sire's) side of the family in appearance.

Skadi is known to be the tomboy of the brood. Fearless and scrappy, she's the one who actually challenges her older brother, Nhym'to, the most. The two can usually be found thusly rough housing quite frequently and are regularly known to come back home after wrestling/fighting.

Birth Mother: Nhym NswalaOnce Skadi's true conception details came to light, it took a little while for Mik'a to trust Nhym again when it came to intimacy. To make up for the trickery, an agreement was made to allow Mik'a to determine when the couple had another child if ever; surprisingly the man cashed in on this almost immediately and thus the identical twins Nhym'li and Nhym'sae were born.Nhym'li, also known to be lovingly called 'Nimmy' to save some people the mouthful, is actually the more talk-a-tive of the identical duo. Nimmy has gained a natural talent in something few know his Sire excelled in: this is forging fake personal relationships with people in order to further his own personal motives. This leaves the boy glowing in negotiation situations, however? It is rare to see him do this. This is because he prefers to stay home and practice the hobby he shares with his twin and their mother: cooking!

While cooking and negotiating are his two most well known skills, don't let the boy fool you. He's just as much as a mage as his siblings. However? His casting has a layer of uniqueness for he and his brother actually can not cast without each other. Sharing the same aetherpool, they've learned to overcome this by lacing their spells together and by taking advantage of the elemental wheel; making their casting pinpoint and deadly.
